Warehouse Assistant

Overall Responsibility
This role involves overseeing various aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Key responsibilities include optimizing warehouse layout, managing inventory accuracy, setting performance goals, and ensuring timely deliveries to customers. The position also involves cost management, compliance with regulatory procedures, and acting as a backup to the Warehouse Manager when needed. Additionally, it encompasses any tasks assigned by management to support the overall warehouse management objectives.

Job Description

  1. To support in the implementation of an efficient and effective warehouse management, ensure it achieves the Company’s sales target, inventory cost control, maximize the utilization of run time and manpower requirement.
  2. To optimize use of floor layout and ensure efficient warehouse space utilization.
  3. To manage receiving and deliveries and ensure inventory accuracy.
  4. Responsible for stock count and variance report to feedback to the management with constructive reaction to reduce recurring variance.
  5. Ensure all warehouse and logistics documentations and reports are timely and accurate.
  6. Responsible for transport management to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
  7. To set KPI and goals for the team with monitoring mechanism in place to measure their performance periodically.
  8. Ensure training & development goal is implemented as per Training Plan.
  9. Ensure customer complaints are handled professionally with speedy action.
  10. To manage operating cost and continuously look for improvement where cost can be reduced while productivity increased.
  11. Compliance with all regulatory procedures in preparation for ISO 9001 & GDPMD audits.
  12. Back-up to Warehouse Manager in his/her absence.
  13. Any other tasks assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum Diploma/Degree holder with more than 5 years experience.
  2. Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage a team.
  3. Good leadership to bring the team to greater heights.
  4. Strong knowledge, able to tackle problem and make quick and appropriate decisions.
  5. Good strategic plan in operations & business.
  6. Mentoring and motivating skill.
